With a simple prompt a client approached us to make her a small studio. She asked simply for a space that she could use for thinking and making.

We developed a small 300 s.f. studio with room for a reading nook, desk space and enough room to host small meetings with friends. The studio sits adjacent to a covered outdoor storage shed in a small semi-private courtyard. The massing, materials and arrangement came out of discussions about fond memories of spaces from childhood.
